Another frenzy of fashion weeks around the world has been and gone this September and the street style in 2021 is as good as ever,
offering new ideas for what to wear this season and how to wear it.
There were multiple trends - some we’ve seen before, some new - including cropped tops, oversized blazers, off-shoulder blouses, and
plaid coats.
But one look that really caught attention and appeared regularly in different styles, was the matching sets seen on women during
this month of fashion.
The matching set pairs tops with skirts, pants or shorts, often with a cropped top for warmer weather and blouse or blazer for the cooler
days. From tie-dye two-piece outfits or matching sweatsuits, to a knit skirt set or tailored skirt suit.
Most popular was the skirt and top set, the stand out being a two piece outfit from Fendi worn by Alice Barbier, one half
of much-loved Instagram pair, @jaimetoutcheztoi.
And they make sense. Matching sets make styling easy and take the guesswork out of putting a look together.
They’re also a style that will be around for some time yet and, depending on where you're shopping from, you'll find them in
lightweight summer styles or sets for the cooler days ahead.
And obviously, they also add two new separates to your wardrobe to pair with anything else that takes your fancy. Really, there’s
nothing to lessen their appeal.
