35 Chic Travel Outfits: What to Pack for Your Holiday

What to pack for a holiday is always a challenge. Picking the travel outfits that will provide what we need for our trip, but also offer the style we enjoy, can take hours! Or even seem impossible!

How can we create the packing list we need and want that will cater to a variety of occasions and changing weather conditions, all in our head!

Well, that’s why I created this blog sharing 35 minimalist looks to help you create the packing list you need. You can thank me later.

When you enjoy fashion, considering ideas for what you might get to wear while you’re away is fun. But actually packing what you need to create those holiday outfits is something else.

Packing for holidays is certainly something I always find difficult. Even when it’s just a short trip, I struggle to decide which pieces I should take.

What do I need to cater to changing weather? What do I need to take to be able to dress for different occasions, both relaxed and a little dressy? What will I take to make sure I’m comfortable?

Of course, another challenge when creating a packing list for our travel is luggage restrictions. Whether you’re driving somewhere and there simply isn’t room in the car for you to take your entire wardrobe, or you’re travelling by air and weight limitations are the problem, we need to restrict our luggage.

I’m always a minimalist when it comes to my style, and I imagine if you’re here visiting With Bogart, minimalism may also be your go-to look. And one of the benefits of loving a minimalist look is the adaptability of this style.

This is often referred to as a capsule wardrobe: a thoughtfully curated collection of versatile, timeless clothing selected to mix and matched to create a variety of outfits for different occasions.

You can create so many outfit ideas with far fewer pieces than a more trend-focused or vibrant style simply because the pieces you have meld together so well.

If you’re like me, you might also prefer to have ideas to look at, visual options to consider, rather than trying to build your travel outfits and your packing list in your mind!

I also always have a list that details everything I will need to take from my wardrobe, and as I pack those pieces, I tick them off to ensure I don’t forget anything.

And that’s why I created this blog, for both my benefit and yours!

Most of the looks I’ve shared are ones that can be altered to cater to different situations. And it’s generally only a small change that’s required to make these looks work for a variety of occasions.

You can dress them up or down, add a coat rather than a blazer, a t-shirt to replace a jumper, flats instead of heels, shorts when it’s too warm for jeans, leave the raffia bag and try the leather one. So many variations can be made using simple changes.

Of course, the list of pieces I’ve included below isn’t the only option.

You may prefer a beige coat to a black one, or a trench rather than a blazer, a black casual bag rather than one in a neutral tone. You can adapt this list of primary pieces I’ve shared to better suit your style and your wardrobe.

I’ve also shared a few ideas using pieces that are different to the ones I've included in my list, just to give you some extra ideas.
