Creating a packing list for a holiday always seems a challenge. How do you cover all the weather you might be dealt without packing in
excess? How do you cater for the different settings and occasions, casual days and evenings out? And of course, what will
keep you comfortable?
Packing the travel outfits that will provide everything you need for your trip, but also offer the style you enjoy, can take
hours.
When you enjoy fashion, considering ideas for what you might get to wear while you’re away is fun. But actually packing what you need
to create those holiday outfits is something else.
How can you create the packing list you need and want that will cater to a variety of occasions and changing weather conditions,
all in your head!

I’m always a minimalist when it comes to my style, and I imagine if you’re here visiting With Bogart, minimalism may also be
your go-to look. And one of the benefits of loving a minimalist style is the adaptability of outfits.
You can create so many outfit ideas with far fewer pieces than a more trend-focused or vibrant style simply because the pieces you have meld
together so well.
I’ve included different wardrobe options for different seasons to provide a range of ideas. You can adjust each look with the layering
option that suits the climate you’ll be dressing for. And it’s generally only a small change that’s required to make
these looks work for a variety of seasons. You might replace a coat with a trench, or style with a light jumper rather than a
turtleneck.
Another one of the things a minimalist wardrobe offers is the option to chop and change looks to suit whatever you’re dressing for in
terms of the occasions you need to cover. It’s much easier to smarten a minimalist look simply by exchanging sneakers for a leather
flat, or wearing a blazer rather than a casual jacket.
Colours in a minimalist wardrobe are also interchangeable. I’ve used a simple palette of black, white, grey and beige, however,
other primary colours such as olive and brown could easily be included.
Of course, another challenge when creating a packing list for our travel is luggage restrictions. Whether you’re driving somewhere
and there simply isn’t room in the car for you to take your entire wardrobe, or you’re travelling by air and weight limitations
are the problem, we need to restrict our luggage.
