There’s a confused idea sometimes that a minimalist wardrobe would be boring and inconspicuous, but that’s so far from the
truth.
With a minimalist wardrobe you play with fabrics and timeless colours; you mix elegant with masculine, luxury with casual; you play
with contrasting styles; you add accessories that bring even more character to an outfit.
And a minimalist wardrobe also shares your personal style, a part of your personality, exactly as you’d like it: subtle, but
confident.
A minimalist wardrobe does not mean a wardrobe filled with nothing but boring basics.
It means a wardrobe of clothes that rise above trends, that can be styled with many other pieces you have, and that remain
relevant for years.
My last blog provided steps on how to go about a closet
clean out
when preparing to create a minimalist capsule wardrobe, plus the basics to include.
This follow-up is to share the best brands and stores offering the styles you’ll need and want to continue building this
wardrobe.
I’ve shared stores from around the world, including affordable and luxury, new and pre-loved.
All so good!
Unfortunately there aren’t yet enough sustainable brands to meet all of our needs and styles, so I've shared some here that are
still ranking at below average standards.
However, one of the benefits of a minimalist wardrobe (and a capsule wardrobe) is that you’re buying pieces that won’t date and
can remain relevant in your wardrobe for years, or be passed on for someone else to enjoy through pre-loved fashion.
Keep scrolling to find the ones that most suit you and your lifestyle, as well as support the minimalist wardrobe you’re
creating.
